Our Mission - To provide our
visitors with a pristine and wholesome environment within which to
explore nature and recreate. |
Findley State Park named after Common Pleas Judge Guy B. Findley (pictured
above) is located in southern Lorain
County south of the historic Village of Wellington on State
Route 58.
The park is no longer just a destination for camping, fishing and
picnicking, but now home to some of the
hottest recreational trends, such as birding, mountain biking, disc golfing and
geocaching. All of the recreational opportunities are enjoyed in and around 900
acres of beautiful woodland, plus a 93 acre lake. The park offers entrance
to a beautiful chapel in the woods and is available for weddings.
If you are looking for a central location to stay for the most
popular attractions in Northeastern Ohio, such as The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,
Cedar Point, Lake Erie Islands and Cuyahoga Valley National Park, then Findley State Park may be the place for you.
Findley is approximately 39 miles to Cedar Point, 42 miles to downtown
Cleveland, and 40 miles to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. To obtain information on these contact
the Ohio Travel & Tourism at 1-800-BUCKEYE. The Lorain County Visitors
Bureau can offer ideas on events and festivals in Lorain County at their website
www.visitloraincounty.com.
